How To Airbrush Macarons
What you want to airbrush on the macarons is your choice! The technique will stay the same.
Step 1- Place the stencil of your choice onto the top of the macaron.
Step 2- Fill your airbrush gun with the food gel coloring. Make sure it is dilute enough to spray. We always test on a reusable practice cookie or paper toweling prior to spraying the cookie.
Step 3- Holding the airbrush gun about 6-8 inches away from the macaron, apply light pressure to the trigger and begin spraying. Make sure the stencil is firmly in place to prevent smudging. Try using a wooden skewer or a scribe tool to hold the small stencil in place while airbrushing.
Step 4- Gently remove the stencil (lift straight up) and allow the macarons to dry completely.
Step 5- Wrap the macarons or place them in a box!

Top Tip! It is important to make sure that the gel coloring is runny enough to pass through the airbrush. If it is too runny, you may experience smearing or smudging due to the porous nature of the macarons.
