Fondant Appliqué Still Life Cookie (with Airbrushed/Stenciled Background)
I’m back this week with a more adult spin on last week’s baby cookie – a lovely still life cookie, perfect for weddings, birthdays, late summer garden parties . . . heck, just about any occasion! For the foreground elements (vase and butterflies), it relies on the same fondant appliqué technique used on the baby cookie. But, for the background, I’ve mixed things up a bit. Instead of rubber-stamping like last time, I show how to make custom patterns by combining two different stencils and then airbrushing. This same, very simple “dual-stencil” approach can be used to make one-of-a-kind two-part background patterns of almost any design! Happy cookie-ing!
