💙💓How You Can Make a Red, White, and Blue Bundt Cake💙💓
Whether you are going to a 4th of July BBQ, or simply want to make a showstopper cake for Memorial Day, nothing does it the same way as a red, white, and blue Bundt cake!
Bundt Cake Ingredients:
- 1 box of white cake mix - go ahead and use whatever brand you like, we won't judge 😉.
-
Satin Ice Food Color Liquid Gel Kit in red and blue.

Glaze Ingredients:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon milk or warm water. You may need more to get the glaze consistency right, but start in smaller increments and build it up if needed.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Tip: We also love adding edible sprinkles and stars to the top of the glaze for extra pizazz.
Directions To Make This Patriotic Cake:
It sounds hard to make a blue, white, and red cake, but it is all in the technique, which we will walk you through here!
- Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the cake box. Then, follow their steps for creating the mix.
- Separate the mixture into 3 bowls, as evenly as you can. Add 3-5 drops of red food coloring of your choice to the first bowl. Repeat with the blue. Make sure the food coloring is well mixed into each bowl. Leave the 3rd bowl as white.
- Grease the Bundt cake pan, then dust it with flour.
- Layer your cake mixes, starting with all of the red mixture, followed by white, then blue. Do not worry if they aren’t even. Don’t be tempted to mix the layers, as you will have a purple cake!
- Bake the cake for the length of time dictated on the box. When it is cooked, turn the pan over to cool. If the cake is stuck, grease a butter knife and move it around the edge. Tap the pan with a wooden spoon so you can release the cake from the pan.
- Allow the cake to cool. Meanwhile, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla flavoring together in a small bowl. Make sure all of the sugar is broken down into the mixture. Glaze is a thick consistency, so play around with these ingredients until you get it right. Try to get it to the same consistency as PVA glue, if not slightly thicker.
- Pour over your cake and allow it to set.
- Complete the look with red, white, and blue decorations, like edible stars!
