Sizing Info & Cookie Cutter Recommendations:

In our graphic rendering, we used the Moscow and Madrid 2 Plaque cookie cutters. Keep in mind, the larger the cookie, the more bow and pattern reveal you will have. 

• Background and overall bow is approximately 5" x 5" w. 
• Sheet size is 5.5"x 5.875" fit into a standard Stencil Genie.

How to Use the Candy Cane Gift Wrap Cookie Stencil With Masking Piece

Create a candy cane striped background, then add the ribbon, bow, and gift tag. You can airbrush the entire design or use royal icing for the final layer to give it a slightly raised finish.

1. Flood and dry the cookie. Flood your cookie with white royal icing and let it dry completely before placing any stencils on it.
2. Cover the ribbon area. Position the loose ribbon-shaped masking piece on the cookie where you want the ribbon, bow, and tag to appear.
3. Airbrush the candy cane stripes. Place the striped background stencil over the cookie and masking piece. Lightly airbrush the exposed stripes. The masking piece keeps color out of the ribbon area.
4. Remove the pieces and let the color dry. Carefully lift off the striped stencil and loose masking piece. Let the airbrushed color dry before adding the final design.
5. Add the ribbon, bow, and tag. Align the ribbon design stencil with the clear area left by the masking piece. Choose your finish:
   • All airbrushed: Lightly airbrush through the ribbon design stencil, then remove it.
   • Raised royal icing: Spread a thin, even layer of stencil-consistency royal icing over the design, then lift the stencil straight up.

Optional shading: Use the separate masking stencil to airbrush shading around the ribbon design before adding the final layer. This step is optional with either finish.

The finished cookie has a flat, airbrushed candy cane stripe background and your choice of a flat airbrushed or slightly raised ribbon design.
